What a special project to be involved with. This unique event - 2 sold out shows at o2 Newcastle City Hall celebrating 40 years of the beloved TV series - featured memories, anecdotes and music from the cast and crew.
The AWP fansite (who I had previously collaborated with on artwork for their merchandise) worked tirelessly to bring this event together.
Poster and Socials
The first task for us was creating the poster to advertise the event online. I collaborated with the guys at the AWP fansite, and co-producers Jimmy Nail and Ray Laidlaw to create the branding for the event - which sold out in minutes!
Stands and t-shirts
I was then tasked to create an illustrated life-size stand featuring the iconic pose of the cast from the first series to be used as a photo opportunity at the venue, as well as creating t-shirt designs featuring the event branding to be sold as merchandise..

Souvenir programme
This was a privilege to work on. The official 28 page souvenir programme for the event, featuring never-before-seen photos and content especially written for it by the creator Franc Roddam, writers Clement and La Frenais and Stan Hey, production designer Mike Perry, as well as the principal cast, Jimmy Nail, Tim Healy and Kevin Whately.
This was such a quick turnaround - literally produced days before the event - but everyone involved pulled together to get me the content I needed to marshal it all into a high quality product for the fans.
The event was a sell out success. Massive thanks to the producers, cast and crew for putting this unique show together. All profits made from the event went to the Sunday for Sammy Trust and FACT (Fighting All Cancers Together). An unforgettable experience.
40th Anniversary merchandise is available at the AWP fansite shop.
